Darren DeVleeschouwer is currently a second year student at Columbia Business School, serving on the Graduate Business Association as the Chair of the Honor Board.  Prior to attending Columbia Business School, Darren worked for Deloitte Consulting, serving clients in the Healthcare, Finance Services, and Media industries.  Most recently, Darren worked for Deloitte as a Consultant for the Tax Strategy Team.  Darren graduated from Penn State University in 2006 with a B.S. in Marketing and minors in Psychology and Spanish.  In his free time, Darren enjoys volunteering for www.icouldbe.org and iPrep. 

Harold Bailey '12

Harold Bailey received his B.A in Economics and History from Brown University.  Prior to attending Columbia Business School, Harold was a Sales Director at Debtwire Incorporated, a leading proprietary intelligence provider, where he sold the firm’s publication to distressed asset managers and debt hedge funds. Prior to Debtwire, Harold was a CLO salesman at Lehman Brothers Incorporated where he sold CLOs and structured securities to institutions and private clients.

Mike Edwards '12

A 1999 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Mike flew 92 combat missions over Iraq and Afghanistan in the E-2C Hawkeye.  After leaving the Navy in 2007, he joined Citi Smith Barney as a financial advisor.  Mike was named the “Pacesetter” as the top financial advisor in the nation among his peers at Citi Smith Barney after the first year of production.  In preparation to join his classmates at Columbia, Mike moved his practice to Bank of America Merrill Lynch in March 2010. 

Levi Hetrick '12

After receiving a BSE in mechanical engineering from Penn, Levi spent 5 years in the field of education. Most recently he spent 2 years as a manager of the human resources department of a private education company in Seoul, South Korea. Previously, he spent 18 months as a US Peace Corps volunteer working on a solid waste management program for interior villages in Suriname. Following his MBA at Columbia, Levi plans to work in consulting and hopes to contribute to the field of social enterprise.

Emily Horbar is currently a second year student at Columbia Business School and the Honor Representative for Cluster B ‘12.  After graduating from Northwestern University with a BS in Journalism, Emily worked for Marsh & McLennan Companies doing crisis management and risk consulting.  She then transitioned to work in nonprofit consulting with Youth, I.N.C. helping grassroots nonprofits with capacity building.  In her free time Emily enjoys photography, skiing and travel.

After graduating from Duke in 2007, Rob Hughes worked in Sales and Trading for Lehman Brothers, and subsequently, Barclays Capital. His most recent role at Barclays prior to starting Columbia Business School was on the Institutional Equity Sales desk. While at Columbia, Rob plans to focus on real estate and transition into the field after graduation

Philip graduated from Princeton University, magna cum laude in Economics. Prior to enrolling at Columbia Business School, Philip worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank Securities and private equity at the Carlyle Group's U.S. Buyout Fund. While at Columbia Business School, Philip has served as a volunteer in the Financial Education Society to improve levels of financial literacy within the New York City adult population. In his spare time, Philip enjoys running, cooking, golfing, and hiking.

Todd Reid '12

Todd is an adaptable finance professional with significant experience in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. His industry exposure in financial services, manufacturing, media, real estate, health care, and nonprofit. Todd recently completed a two-year secondment with PwC's Capital Markets Group in Zurich, Switzerland, advising international companies with respect to capital markets transactions and financial policy (IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and SEC regulations).

Neal Rickner

Neal “Rudy” Rickner is pursuing a dual MBA/MIA with Columbia Business School and the School of International and Public Affairs.  He served 12 years on active duty with the US Marine Corps flying F/A-18’s and achieving the rank of Major before being transferred to the Marine Corps Reserves.  Rudy completed three tours in Iraq between 2003 and 2007, earning the Bronze Star with “Valor” device, (13) Air Medals, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with “Valor” device, and the Combat Action Ribbon.  A Veterans advocate, Rudy is the founder and President emeritus of the Columbia SIPA Veterans Association (CSVA), a veterans group that helps highlight military and veterans issues on the Columbia campus and in New York City.

Timothy Stevens '12

Tim Stevens is a 2005 graduate from West Point and a member of Cluster F12. He has spent the past 5 years as an Officer in the US Army, serving in the 3rd Infantry Division and 1st Corps Headquarters.  During his military career, Tim held several leadership roles and deployed twice to Iraq.

Josh is a second year student at CBS.  He is the Honor Representative for Cluster Y ’12 and a member of the Student Leadership & Ethics Board.  Before attending CBS, Josh interned at the microfinance firm Ujjivan in Bangalore where he helped develop the firm’s strategy towards individual lending.  Before Ujjivan, Josh worked for Lazard in the Financial Sponsors Group in New York where he helped provide M&A advisory to the firm’s private equity clients.  Before Lazard, Josh worked for Goldman Sachs in the Private Wealth Management division in Chicago where he helped provide investment advice to high net-worth individuals, foundations and endowments.  Josh graduated from Northwestern University in 2007 with a B.A. in Economics.
