Thank you for your interest in IPD's activities!
IPD has developed an integrated four-part work program that links intellectual capital and civil society participation to promote inclusive and substantive deliberations about policy alternatives.
Our strategy includes four Programs: Task Forces, Research, Country Dialogues, and Journalism Training.
-
Task Forces and the related Research Program bring together international experts to study complex and controversial economic issues. The task forces educate policymakers and civil society and provide a pool of resources for the country dialogue programs. We have 16 task forces including specific domestic and global.
-
IPD Country Dialogues help governments and their citizens explore economic policy alternatives in an open and inclusive manner. They lever off our task force analysis and research and provide information to policymakers, local research institutions, and NGOs. IPD Dialogues offer a forum for open discussion on alternative views to improve the quality of official decision-making in developing countries. Including Nations in Asia?
-
IPD's Journalism work includes two programs: Journalism Workshops and our Journalism Primer. Our goal is to help strengthen journalists' economic literacy and equips them to report and write on major economic issues confronting developing economies. As a result of this capacity building project, a wide range of ideas on economic policy are brought into the public sphere.
