Africa Task Force Meeting, Manchester 2007 Event: Jul 11, 2007 - Jul 12, 2007 IPD's Africa task force discussed topics including the African developmental state; the Asian experience; resource management; and human development, poverty and conflict, under the framework of debunking myths, for its upcoming publication as part of the IPD book series. Africa Task Force Meeting, 2006 Event: Aug 03, 2006 - Aug 04, 2006 The meeting to launch the Africa task force was held at the Brooks World Poverty Institute at the University of Manchester on August 3-4, 2006. The task force (a) laid out a policy-oriented research agenda; (b) determined what issues are to be addressed in formal papers to be written by task force members; and (c) finalized the composition of the task force.
