Welcome to IPD Student Resources!
The Initiative for Policy Dialogue welcomes student interest in development economics and policies. IPD works with students of all levels interested in the field of development economics. And we are excited to share our resources with you. For interested students, we have put together a list of resources we provide for the study of development economics.
You can find information on our Task Forces. For an in-depth look at the debates behind the issues, explore the Task Force Overview Chapters. You can also view reports from the Country Dialogues we've conducted. These two resources will introduce you to some of the ways IPD influences policy debate, as well as familiarize you with the specific issues at hand.
For tips and training on writing about economic policy, the Journalism Handbook is an invaluable tool. It includes Backgrounders, which are comprised of an introduction to and tips for writing about some of the central issues in public economics. The journalism section also contains publications related to these issues. This section will help you in researching specific topics and provide examples of writing on economic policies.
In addition, visit the News/Opinions page to consider IPD-related news items and IPD experts' opinions on the latest developments in global economics.
If you wish to get in touch with one of our expert economists directly, you will find their contact information here.
We also offer, in coordination with Columbia University, several educational opportunities. See below for a description. |
