Welcome to the 10th Annual Columbia Business School Investment Management Conference
February 2, 2007
8:00am - 4:30pm


We are happy to announce a distinguished group of speakers for this year's event.

Following opening remarks by Dean Glenn Hubbard, the event will commence with the morning keynote address by Leon Cooperman (CBS '67), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Omega Advisors, Inc. Mr. Cooperman will be discussing the lessons that he has learned in over 40 years of investing and his current market outlook.

After the morning keynote address, the day will kick off with a panel in which Stephen Bepler (CBS '66), Steve Galbraith, John Gunn and Alex Roepers discuss their how the perception of risk influences investment process and portfolio management.

In the first afternoon session, William Ackman, James Mitarotonda, Kevin Richardson, and Eric Rosenfeld will discuss the pros and cons of activist investing, its efficacy in creating shareholder value and the recent rise in activist investors.

During the final panel, Bruce Berkowitz, David Greenspan (CBS '00), Bill Miller and David Winters will discuss their investment philosophies and share some war stories about their best investment ideas.

Our afternoon keynote address will be given by Mark Kingdon (CC '71), President and Founder, Kingdon Capital Management, LLC, who will speak about the managerial aspects of running a hedge fund.

Registration and breakfast will start at 8:00 am, and the conference program will begin at 9:00 am. The attire is business formal. Seating is limited so please register as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you on February 2nd, 2007.
