Co-Presidents

Anwar White

Prior to business school, Anwar worked as an internal strategy consultant for LeapFrog Enterprises, an educational technology firm. He is currently concentrating on General Management and Marketing (Retail) and wants to pursue a career in the fashion/retail industry, where he hopes to work alongside his idol, Tyra Banks. He majored in Statistics, Business, and German at Carnegie Mellon University and has founded multiple LGBT non-profit organizations.

Cheryl Gladstone

Cheryl Gladstone served as the Director of Real Estate & Development for the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, where she oversaw the needs of over 300 Brooklyn-based real estate developers, brokers, and architects. She is pursuing concentrations in Real Estate and Social Enterprise while at Columbia Business School. Cheryl graduated from Stanford University and is a proud member of Out For Profit, the first socially-responsible, openly-gay Investment Club.

Andrew Hotz

Prior to Columbia Business School, Andrew worked as a senior producer at a New York-based broadcast and commercial design studio (Trollbäck + Company) specializing in television network re-branding and commercial production. In Los Angeles, Andrew served as production supervisor at DreamWorks Animation SKG working on the Puss in Boots movie and the first CG-animation prime time sitcom “Father of the Pride” on NBC. This summer Andrew worked at IMAX Corporation in Business Development and on a new digital media start-up with executives from NBC/Universal, HBO, The Broadway League and a private investment firm in New York. Andrew majored in theater at Northwestern University and has lived in Chicago, Los Angeles and currently, New York.

Laurent Meurice

Prior to Columbia Business School, Laurent worked in Paris as a consultant with Murex, a leading capital markets software vendor, where he advised European clients on trade processing software modules. He also worked with BNP PARIBAS on global Technology projects. Laurent grew up in the North of France and graduated from HEI, a general engineering School in 2001, with a specialization in chemistry and bio-industry.

Brett Stewart

Prior to Columbia Business School, Brett was a Brand Strategy Consultant in Seoul, South Korea, where he worked with some of the world’s best brands. Brett was also a founding partner and director of a travel and lifestyle boutique consulting company in Seoul, South Korea. He graduated from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Chemistry minor, and was awarded the US Fulbright Scholarship. Brett is currently interested in pursuing a career in Real Estate and Finance.

Barry Whyte

Before Columbia, Barry spent five years working in advertising in London for Ogilvy & Mather and Euro RSCG, where he managed campaigns and brand strategy for American Express, Ford, EDF Energy and the UK government. He stays true to his British roots by drinking endless cups of tea, but has developed an obsession with trashy American TV. Barry holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of York.

Andrea Davila

Andrea worked as the Director of Finance and Operations at Let’s Get Ready, Inc, a college access non-for-profit, where she oversaw the development of the organization from a small start-up to a mid-sized professionalized organization. She is also involved in financial literacy education, teaching classes to adults living in public housing, and writing personal finance articles for online magazines. Prior to coming to New York for college, Andrea lived in California and Manila. She plans to pursue a career in the social sector, focusing on business development for not-for-profits and philanthropy. She attended Barnard College, and majored in Philosophy.

Matt Kaye

Before business school, Matt Kaye spent five years in book publishing in both the Bay Area and New York City, most recently as the Senior Publicist at Farrar, Straus and Giroux where he promoted books by Nobel-Prize winning authors, debut novelists, composers, academics, foodies, and recluses. He is focusing in Media and Marketing at Columbia Business School and hopes to work with books upon graduating, whatever they may look like at the time. Matt graduated from UC Berkeley with a major in English and a minor in LGBT Studies.
