Richard J. Chuchla

Area Manager - Frontier and Gas Resources, ExxonMobil Exploration Company

Richard J. Chuchla is currently Unconventional and Gas Resources Manager at ExxonMobil Exploration Company.

Mr. Chuchla has held a number of positions during his thirty years at Exxon Mobil, including work at ExxonMobil’s Development and Production companies.    

He is a member of the Houston Geological Society and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Mr. Chuchla sits on the University of Texas Geology Foundation Advisory Council as well as on Cornell University’s Earth And Atmospheric Sciences Advisory Committee. He serves as Chairman at the Texas Bureau of Economic Geology Board of Visitors.

Mr. Chuchla holds an MA in Geology from the University of Texas and an AB in Geology from Cornell University.
