Welcome to SABA, the South Asian Business
Association at Columbia Business School!
The mission of the South Asian Business
Association (SABA) is to provide a forum to encourage business,
cultural and economic interest in South Asian countries including
India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and other
areas in close proximity.
The goals of SABA encompass the
following:
(1) to sponsor events specific to South Asian
business issues via economic seminars and annual study tours;
(2) to celebrate our heritage through cultural events; and
(3) to collaborate with other student organizations regarding
common interests.
SABA aims to provide networking opportunities
with global business leaders, alumni and other professional
organizations and clubs in New York City and beyond through
activities such as India Business Conference and Chazen India Study
tours. We also aim to enrich the cultural diversity of the Columbia
Business School community by organizing social events such as Diwali
Night and Mixers with Faculty, EMBAs and otehr business
schools.
