Allison Clements, Corporate Counsel, Natural Resources Defense Council

Allison Clements is the Corporate Counsel for the Natural Resources Defense Council. In this role, Ms. Clements oversees legal operations and compliance and is involved in internal governance, corporate relations and risk management issues. Previously, Ms. Clements worked in the Project Finance Group at Chadbourne & Parke, LLP in New York, where she represented developers and lenders in the financings of traditional and renewable energy and biofuels facilities. She also provided corporate governance advice to biofuels and renewable energy developers. Prior to her work in project finance, Ms. Clements advised energy companies regarding Federal Energy Regulatory Commission law. 

Ms. Clements holds a BS in Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan and a JD, with honors, from the George Washington University Law School. Prior to law school, Ms. Clements worked as a Campaign Director and Program Manager for the League of Conservation Voters in Washington, D.C.
