Teaching and research interests
Professor Zhang’s research focuses on financial accounting and reporting, the use of accounting information in equity valuation, and securities regulation. Her research has examined the impact of Regulation Fair Disclosure (FD) on the financial information environment and stock return volatility. She has also studied the effects of different revenue recognition timing on the attributes of reported revenue. Zhang teaches the core course Accounting I: Financial Accounting.
